Punjab Assembly established Punjabi University, Patiala under the Punjab Act No. 35 of 1961. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India laid the foundation of Punjabi University on June 24, 1962. It was established on April 30, 1962, in the erstwhile princely state of Patiala with the main objective of furthering the cause of Punjabi language, art, and literature. Punjabi University has since evolved into the largest University in the state. This is the second University in the world to be named after a language. The University started working from its present lush green, pollution-free, 316 acres campus in 1965. Initially, University’s jurisdiction area was fixed as the 16 km radius having only 9 colleges. After 1969, 43 colleges affiliated with it. Spread over 600 acres of land, its 1500+ teachers are imparting instruction and guidance to nearly 14,000+ students in a multi-faceted, multipronged, and multi-faculty environment comprising 70+ Teaching and Research Departments/Chairs on its Campus, 27 Regional Centre/ Neighbourhood Campuses/Constituent Colleges and 274 Colleges affiliated to it.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Electronics and Communication Engineering was one of the branches started in the year 2003, under the aegis of University College of Engineering, established in the year 2003, at Punjabi University, Patiala (Main Campus). We made a modest beginning with a single undergraduate course of four-year duration (Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering). With a view to provide quality education, we took a leap forward by launching an Engineering Management Integrated Program for the overall development of the students in engineering and management skills, and a two-year course, i.e. Master of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering, in 2009 followed by a three-year Master of Technology course in Electronics and Communication Engineering, in 2011 on a part-time basis. With the abolishment of the University College of Engineering in September 2013, the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch was awarded the status of an independent department and the Department of ECE came into being. As per the demand, Department has started Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Computer Engineering. Till now, from ECE Department, more than 50 candidates did their PhD and produced more than 150 SCI publications. In the Department, the many research projects worth ~3.5 Crore are completed/on-going.

About the Conference

The present conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Electronics Engineering. It is a humble effort by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering to popularize Electronics Engineering at all levels mentioning its important role in industrial, technological, and economic developments. The motive of the conference is to provide the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Electronics Engineering. This conference will be held in blended mode. The conference conducts a plagiarism check on all submitted papers. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism apply to all works.

From this year, under this conference, the Symposium on Advances in Optics and Photonics has started. The main aim of this symposium is to promote optics and photonics in women, rural and young professionals.

This conference will be conducted in blended mode (both online and offline).

This conference is aimed at researchers in Academia and Industry. Engineering as a discipline and as a business function is very vital for both the Academics and Industry. The conference aims at welcoming all the researchers, faculty and Industry professionals in the field of Engineering as per conference themes mentioned here.

The selection of paper will be made on their importance and interest to a wide range of delegates. Please indicate which of the conference themes your paper fits best. Brief biography and author contact details including Author’s position, organization, address, telephone, mobile, and email etc. must be submitted along with the paper.

Submitted papers must NOT have been previously presented, scheduled for presentation, published, accepted for publication and, if under review, must NOT appear in print before the conference dates. The papers will be accepted subjected to the blind review and the changes should be incorporated as per the feedback. All accepted papers will be peer reviewed and will be published in our conference proceedings (unless otherwise requested).
